Parents of Addicted Loved Ones is a national program. PAL is especially helpful for parents and spouses, however all other sober family members and friends (18 and over) are welcome at our meetings. Our church sponsors a chapter for the Aiken area and the meeting is held weekly at our church on Thursday nights at 6:30. You can get encouragement and support from others who are enduring the same struggles as you. Their contact info is provided below. There is no charge for meetings and you can just show up! The meetings are held at 126 Dominion Dr. Suite 1020 Aiken, SC 29803
Ken and Tonya Stewart have been and are "walking a mile in your shoes". They lead our PAL group each week and minister to others from a heart of compassion and understanding. They are "on loan" to us from “New Life Nazarene Church” in New Ellenton. You may contact Tonya directly at 910-354-9758 or email her at AikenPALS@aol.com
There are two parts to every PAL meeting: There is an educational component and an opportunity to share about your current experiences. Confidentiality is valued and it is understood that everyone has their own opinion.
Some related books may be available free of charge or for a small charge. Meetings may include videos and even occasionally guest speakers. Coffee is usually available as well as snacks periodically.
